Aloha Espresso Brownies
Ok, so I found this recipe on a canister of Rich Chocolate Ovaltine (I started buying Ovaltine instead of hot chocolate because Ovaltine does not contain partially hydrogenated oils), but I modified it a little, as I tend to do with most recipes I borrow =). I used real butter instead of margarine, added some extra chocolate chips, and 100% ground Kona coffee that we had brought back from our honeymoon. The result? I will let you know soon!

Ingredients
1 cup of flour
1 stick of butter
2 eggs
½ cup Rich Chocolate Ovaltine
1/3 cup of crushed Macadamia nuts
2 tablespoons of sugar
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons ground coffee, pick your favorite, any kind will do
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Combine the butter, eggs, and Ovaltine and beat until they are smooth and well blended. In a separate bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Add to the Ovaltine mixture and beat together. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread batter in a greased 8×8 pan, or into cupcake molds (I used festive Valentine’s heart-shaped molds!). Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees and cool for 45 minutes before eating. It’s time for your chocolate-coffee fix!
